The treatment of hematologic malignancies has evolved, including RT principles and techniques. However, many radiation oncology trainees report inadequate experience in management of hematologic malignancies. ILROG is offering a one-month away elective rotation at various ILROG-member sites in the United States for interested radiation oncology residents.

The goals of this rotation are to provide:

1

Clinical experience with evaluating and managing patients with lymphoma and other hematologic malignancies,

2

Technical experience with modern radiotherapy techniques and when available, more specialized techniques (total skin electron beam therapy, TBI, proton therapy), and

3

A formal didactic curriculum.

Interested radiation oncology residents are eligible if they are a current resident with good standing at an ACGME-accredited radiation oncology program. Rotation goals and expectations can be found below.

To participate in the away rotation please fill out the application form below. After receiving your application, Ms. Denise De La Cruz (ddlcruz@mdanderson.org) will be in contact with you.
